I had a last minute emergency during my move (because moving isn't stressful enough) and these guys were gracious enough to accommodate my need to adjust timing at the last minute to help. When they arrived they were friendly and professional. Very nice young guys working for them. Good experience overall and always nice to work with a local small business.

I’ve moved a few times with moving companies and these folks have struck the perfect balance of friendliness, professionalism, and caring. Our movers Jamell, Nick, and Hasson finished their previous job early and called us to let us know they *could* be there earlier if we were ready. Before they left, they called and gave us an ETA. They kept a conversation going with us, the customers, while they quickly loaded and unloaded. Of course, when we got there we were still packing up a few boxes, and they reassured us that we could take our time - it was our truck. 10/10 will hire again and recommend.

We had a great experience yesterday with A Friend With a Truck movers! They were careful with our belongings, on time, loaded/unloaded our stuff very quickly, and all 3 guys were super nice! Definitely will be hiring them again for future moves. 10/10 recommend! The cost was also very reasonable.

Great movers. They sent 3 guys, who were very friendly and professional, the move took less time than allotted, and the amount quoted was reduced accordingly. After getting quotes from a few companies for a whole-house, very local move, we settled with AFWAT and we couldn't have been more pleased. Hasson, Nick, and Jamell showed up on-time (actually a few minutes early), they were all polite, professional, fun to work with, EXTREMELY careful and holy cow were they fast. We had quite a bit more to move than we really thought and we had some larger pieces that caused some snags but these guys handled it with ease and honesty. They tried their hardest to make things fit but if they couldn't do it without potentially damaging our brand new house, they were honest about it.The move would not have gone near as smoothly as it did without these guys and I am SO thankful we chose this company to help us out!I would recommend this crew in a heartbeat. Worked with John and the team to move across Kansas City. Overall they did a great job. A piece of furniture was damaged in the move, but they worked with me to fix the issue.I would recommend using them. I've used other movers in the past that were much more expensive, and you get the same level of effort and even better customer service with these local boys.

Great experience overall. They were on time and contacted me the day before arrival. Then on their way in the morning. Followed instructions for apartment complex and sr community rules for Covid. Then moved all into the new apartment complex that was not direct access to the truck. It was a good walk back and forth and the temperature was 0 degrees the whole afternoon. No complaints and very courteous about the whole process. Closing doors and following instructions on boxes and what not. Safety and security was number 1 for them and it was very appreciated by my family and especially my senior mom moving to a new place. Highly recommend this to anyone moving.

I got quotes from several moving companies prior to booking with A Friend With A Truck. They by far had the most reasonable pricing and I liked that each time I called I was able to speak to the owner. The day of my move the elevators in my building were only working in a limited capacity. Initially we were supposed to have an elevator reserved specifically for my move. The guys had a can-do attitude and rolled with the punches. They carried most of my items (which are large and heavy) down the stairs with no complaints and managed to finish the job within the timeframe I was quoted. They were careful with my items and did a great job! Wonderful value with this company, I will absolutely use them again in the future.

The high was 16 degrees during our move and it snowed the day before, safe to say we were dreading moving day. Right off the bat we experienced great communication and transparent estimates from John, he even gave us multiple tips on how to prep for our move. Our team of movers- Nick, Jamell, and Vance showed up on time and were extremely efficient and professional. They handled all our furniture and electronics with extreme care, and were very courteous not to track too much snow in by placing moving blankets throughout the house. They even gave us advice on how to position our big sectional! I researched for weeks for a moving company and we are so happy we decided to hire these guys!

I pre-boxed all my stuff and they loaded it all into their truck and packed it into a storage unit so that it would fit and I could have a little space to move around and try to access things in the unit. I didn’t have any other help, so they were very understanding in helping me dismount the tv and disassemble the bed frame.Their estimates were accurate and I was very impressed with how quick they were. I would absolutely use them again, I couldn’t have done this move without them!!

I recently used the services of A Friend With A Truck Movers for a local move and I had a great experience.The movers showed up on time and were able to transport the items quickly even on a snow-packed day. I did not have a car with me during the move, and they were kind enough to offer me a lift in their truck till the destination. They even helped me disassemble and reassemble my TV. I called around trying to get quotes from movers to empty a POD storage container and delivery to place. This was a last minute need as I could not get the POD delivered to my address. I obtained estimates from 5 local moving companies and got quotes as high as $1100.John was super responsive with my initial request from Yelp. I called him and shared with him the details of the move and he got me scheduled for the next morning. The price he quoted was fair, transparent, and well below the competitors.This morning, the movers let me know via a phone call when they started loading up and kept in communication as they arrived. Upon arrival, all three were super professional, communicated well about the process, and most importantly worked efficiently and quickly.I am not sure how many other movers they have on staff, but the three that were assigned to my order; Tyler, Jamil, and Skylar deserve all kudos for their great work.I hope to not have to move again for awhile but if I do, John his team will be the only call I will make.Thanks,Marc T.

A Friend with a truck was absolutely great to work with from scheduling and planning our move to being flexible when our closing date changed. Our moving day was a disaster and the owner himself came the next morning to help get us moved in dispute the cancellation being on our end.
